Richard Waddell

Richard Waddell started programming for hire mostly in COBOL. Fortunately the release of Windows 3.0 and a competitive Borland compiler upgrade soon prompted him to learn C++, get into Windows programming and later web development. Then along came .Net to hide the Win32 mess and now Silverlight to tidy up the rest. Coding became what he was hoping for when he first got into it. He prefers C# but is comfortable in VB.Net, and would write in C++ if coerced, or paid really, really well.

For most of his career, Richard freelanced for such companies as Wickes, L.A. Gear, RB Furniture, and others to obscure to mention. He is currently working for the Los Angeles County Office of Education. Richard lives with his wife Kc and their two cats in Orange County, CA, near their children and granddaughter, the amazing Amara.
